We are pleased to be able to share the news of an exciting and significant investment in our fleet as Insight Trans Logistics go from strength to strength.

The development is a direct result of the growth in our business and customer demand. It is imperative that we keep moving forward and evolve to be ahead of the curve where transportation and logistics are concerned. This places us in the best possible position to serve our customers and meet their specific and bespoke requirements, rising successfully to meet every challenge presented to us.

This new addition will strengthen the offering from our already comprehensive fleet of vehicles. We recently collected the brand new Kassbohrer trailer. With an impressive specification, boasting five axles, the Kassbohrer will be able to have a gross vehicle weight of 80,200kg. The 2022 trailer will perfectly combine with one of our other new additions, our brand new 80,000Kg DAF XF.

Together the new vehicles will complement the capacity of our infrastructure and maximise the capabilities of the business to be adaptable to take on any challenge presented to us. The full specifications and benefits of the new vehicles are highlighted below:-

• Extendable self-steering axles meaning that the trailer corners better and follows the same track as the tractor unit almost identically
• Less drag when turning as the tyres follow the line of the truck, which causes significantly less and more even tyre wear and significantly lower fuel consumption
• Greater manoeuvrability, with many of the jobs we work on the space available is usually limited, therefore having the increased manoeuvrability is a must when purchasing new equipment.
• 2 x front lift axles allowing the axles to be lifted from the ground to protect the tyres and reduce fuel consumption
• An additional advantage is that the lifting axle can be used as traction assist. The temporary lifting of the first axle increases the bearing load on the tractor thus improving the traction of the vehicle on difficult terrain
• Hydraulic flip toe ramps with hydraulic side shift and stabilising legs for any heavier wheeled or tracked machinery that we load and then further ramps up to the neck of the trailer
• Axle load indicator allowing you to understand the pressure that is being taken through each axle to correctly position cargo to enable each axle to carry the same amount of weight
• Outriggers, these allow for wider loads to be placed on the vehicle and still be supported by the trailer itself
•  Lashing rings, spare wheel & carrier and wheel chocks
• Pull out wide load marker boards
• Storage area at head of trailer 530S

No time has been wasted and we’ve deployed our brand new trailer immediately and it's currently touring Spain working with airplane engines!
